🍽️ Private Dining at Ruby's

Our restaurant seats up to 80 guests, making it well suited to birthdays, anniversaries, christenings, work socials and family gatherings. Book a section of the restaurant for a smaller party, or take the whole floor for a private event with exclusive use.

Guests are looked after by our own team, in our own dining room, with the atmosphere and service that regulars at Ruby's already know. Menus can be set in advance so everything arrives together, or chosen on the night.

We also bring Ruby's to you. Village halls, marquees, offices, private homes — we have catered for all of them across Bishop's Stortford and the wider Hertfordshire area.

What we provide depends on the event. Some clients want the food delivered and nothing more; others want serving equipment, or our staff on site to look after guests through the evening. Tell us what you have in mind and we will build the arrangement around it.

🥂 The Ruby's Platter — Our Set Feast Menu

Our most popular choice for larger gatherings is the Ruby's Platter: a shared selection of starters, followed by four main dishes, rice and freshly baked naan. It is designed to be brought to the table and shared, which is how Indian food is meant to be eaten.

• Smoked Salmon — delicately spiced, cured in-house
• Paneer Chat Tikka — chargrilled cottage cheese, tangy chaat spices
• Kashi Kebab — seasoned minced kebab from the tandoor
• Chicken Tikka — marinated in yoghurt and spice, clay-oven grilled

Main Dishes

• Satkani Gosht — slow-cooked tender lamb, aromatic house spices
• Butter Chicken — a rich, creamy tomato and cashew gravy
• Vegetable Bhuna — seasonal vegetables in a thick, spiced masala
• Saag Paneer — cottage cheese with slow-cooked spinach

• Saffron Rice or Pilau Rice — fragrant basmati, your choice
• Garlic Naan or Plain Naan — freshly baked in the tandoor

💷 Pricing

The Ruby's Platter is priced per guest, with better value for larger parties. Minimum twenty guests.

• Twenty to thirty-nine guests — £24.95 per person
• Forty to seventy-nine guests — £22.95 per person
• Eighty guests and above — £19.95 per person

Bespoke menus, dietary requirements and spice levels are all catered for on request. If you would like something other than the set feast, we are happy to build a menu around your event.
