Some evenings deserve more than a table for two. Ruby's has hosted birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, retirements, christenings and more than a few office parties that ran later than anyone intended.
We are a family-run Indian restaurant on Hockerill Street, seating up to eighty guests. Bring a handful of friends or take the whole restaurant - either way, you are looked after by our own team, in our own dining room.
For smaller parties, we will set aside a section of the restaurant for your group. Order from our full a la carte menu on the night, or agree a set menu in advance so the food arrives together and nobody is left waiting.
Setting a menu beforehand tends to work best for groups of ten or more. It keeps the evening moving, and it means we can prepare properly for any dietary requirements in your party.
For larger occasions, the whole restaurant can be yours. Up to eighty guests seated, with the room, the bar and our team entirely at your disposal for the evening.
Exclusive hire suits milestone birthdays, wedding receptions, corporate dinners and family celebrations where you would rather not share the room. Talk to us about the date you have in mind and we will tell you what is possible.
Groups can order from the a la carte menu, or choose the Ruby's Platter - our set feast of shared starters, four main dishes, rice and freshly baked naan, priced per guest from £19.95 for larger parties.
Every dish is freshly prepared with natural ingredients and no artificial additives or colourings. Spice levels are cooked to your preference, and we cater for vegetarian, vegan and other dietary requirements as a matter of course - just tell us in advance.

We also cater off-site across Bishop's Stortford and Hertfordshire - village halls, marquees, offices and private homes. What we bring depends on the event, from food alone to serving equipment and staff on the night.
